Nevada Reno

Idaho

 -

This is the third straight road game for Nevada. Nevada (2-2 SU, 2-1 ATS) has a powerful offense and Idaho has a terrible defense. That’s a bad mix for the home team! The Wolfpack has a wide-open option, shotgun offensive attack called "The Pistol" offense, led by super sophomore QB Colin Kaepernick. This offense averages 33 points and 319 yards rushing! Kaerpernick, the Wolf Pack's 6-foot-6 sophomore, ran for a school quarterback record 240 yards and three touchdowns as Nevada torched UNLV 49-27 Saturday. Nevada pounded out 444 rushing yards! Kaepernick was also 24-of-35 for 264 yards in a 35-19 loss to Texas Tech, despite the offense getting 488 yards. Nevada is 3-5 SU/ATS its last 8 on the road and 20-2 SU, 15-7 ATS its last 27 as a favorite. We all know Idaho (1-4 SU, 0-4 ATS) is a bad football team. Well two weeks ago they played another bad football team, Utah State....and lost 42-17! Utah State gained 580 yards of offense in the game, 280 in the first half while holding Idaho to 271 total yards. The Aggies had been averaging only 245 yards per game. This is the same Idaho team that went to Arizona.....and lost 70-0! This is a struggling young offense behind sophomore QB Nathan Enderle. Idaho is getting outscored by a 47-20 average. The Vandals limp home after a 45-17 loss at San Diego State, allowing 603 yards. "There were too many big plays given up by our defense early," Idaho coach Robb Akey said. "That might have shaken their confidence. But, it happened. We have to learn to play through it." Idaho is 2-5 SU, 0-6 ATS its last 7 at home. Keep in mind this is the middle of a stretch where Idaho plays 4 road games in 5 weeks. Nevada is 3-0 SU, 2-1 ATS the last three meetings, winning 37-21, 45-7 and 62-14. Deja vu all over again, as the Wolfpack chew up the potatos
Projected Score: Nevada Reno 42, Idaho 10
